Spring 2024 Sessions
Artificial Intelligence In Your Classroom
Two Sessions
Infusing AI Into Your Course
This beginner’s workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) is aimed at faculty members who have little or no exposure to AI systems or who are new to the AI field. We will cover the basic concepts of AI, its relevance for education, and how it can change the way we teach and interact with students. This workshop will combine conceptual knowledge and concrete, experiential activities. Participants will try out AI tools themselves, developing a stronger grasp and interest in how AI can improve both teaching and learning outcomes.
Beyond the Basics: Taking AI to the Next Level
This workshop is designed for faculty members who have some knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and want to increase their use and implementation of AI in the classroom. We will go beyond the basics, emphasizing changing pedagogical practices to improve student engagement. The session blends thorough theoretical discussions with practical, hands-on activities. Participants will engage with AI tools, developing their skills and comprehension of how AI can be successfully incorporated into teaching and learning processes.
